Advances and Discounts are short-term commercial credit lines including overdrafts and discounted promissory notes. Personal Loans and Credit Cards capture consumer financing. Mortgage and Pledge Loans cover real-estate and asset-backed lending. Other Loans includes leasing, foreign-currency loans, and miscellaneous credit not captured in the other categories. The four series sum to approximately total private-sector loans.
